The bubble you don't know about !!

Do you sometimes wonder - "What does that prof think of me ?" ;

or while playing poker- "Wish I could read his mind" ;

or even when Tendulkar gets run out - "What was he thinking while taking that stupid run?" ;

Isn't there always this constant mur..mur ,..inside your head.Whenever you don't have anyone it starts to operate.Sometimes it's there even when everyone is there.You just have to realize,  something is there inside of your head talking to you.

But the first thing you say after reading these lines -"What a stupid fellow,he is mental!!There is something is talking inside his head,see its not happening in mine" 

Means you just said it inside your head.Congrats your normal!!

Some of us still did not get it.did you?anyhow 

The theory is that you are living inside a bubble, a bubble that you think does not exist.You think there is no bubble and that your interaction with people will have an impact on your life.Inside the bubble your thoughts get drawn into a space,which creates an illusion that someone's action are impacting/alternating/changing your life.Just because you think that they are doing this change, they actually change.Cause your mind is saying, it changes inside your bubble so it actually does and you keep proving to yourself that your life is altered by someone else's action.

You always already know how a person behaves with you,but you still go to  that person everyday just to prove to yourself that you are right.You always already know what the next person is going to do and isn't it  mostly correct?

This phenomena is called the Bubble of Illusion!!!

You think that some prof X does'nt know how to teach  & you are mostly certain  that he/she is a bad prof before they even start teaching.It's not a mental state.It's normal!!! We all have a tendency to judge people based on some incident,similarity with someone from the past or movie character or some incident in someone else's life.So,Once we make sure that we hate someone, we are mostly certain that whatever that person does will be mean towards us cause we have already decided on that.We have asked your mind to believe that voice inside your head which is talking to us. Subconsciously we will  do something,to keep proving to ourself that we are right.When the truth is that we never know the truth cause all the truth to us is our creation.That's what creates all your problem!!!

We cannot do something to avoid it,cause we are made to think by nature.Like a Tiger is born to kill,deer born to run,birds born to fly.We are a species,which is born to interpret.We have to have a suggestion,a meaning ,a story.or always a reason for something.

This is what is causing all the trouble!!!

Isn't it that what ever you think of an person is true 90 % of the time, even before it actually happens.It is because you have decided that something should happen in a way and it will always happen that way inside your head.

This is how we have been living all our lives.We all live inside our own heads.Everyone around us is a stimulus.We react,act & review our stance based on that and enact an action over it in our own world of our mind.The world of illusion.That's why you think the prof sucks because you are just too dumb to comprehend with what the prof is saying.Maybe that's what he is thinking.

Almost all of us are a still fighting ourselves inside our own bubble,messing up our own lives and blaming someone else.The more we try and fight others inside our own head,the more certainly the illusion hardens.The bubble will never burst or fly away.It will always be there.

Lets just start realizing that it exists and let's start  to clean up our bubble bit by bit !!

The God Particle - Sachin Tendulkar

He controls the hearts of millions of Indians.His one tweet on Twitter raises 1.10 crore for an NGO.He is the most respected cricketer of his time.His time classic strokes and His humble attitude makes him one of the most epitome Sportsperson of this century.

Early Signs

Sachin like everyone has story, a story of struggle,pain and sacrifice for his love for cricket. Sachin Tendulkar not only symbolizes Sport but India as a whole.He was a naughty kid from the streets of Mumbai who has gone on to become a living legend. Sachin's story is of a very typical Indian home.It signifies the strength of a family institution most imbibed in our country.A elder brother who was his biggest critic,took the most interest in the cricket of his younger brother and helped and encouraged him all along,giving up a lot of chances for himself.A father who inspired his son to be humble and kind and forgiving and a family who supported him to consider Cricket over Academics.The values installed in Sachin makes him more of what his numbers tell you about him.

Child Prodigy

Sachin was a child prodigy and every since his start (with the match against Pakistan in 1989),he has never looked back.This ,then 17 year old boy has been breaking the backs of record keepers all over the world.His next stage was England in 1990,  where he became the second youngest cricketer to score a Test century as he made 119* at Old Trafford. This young cricketer was then being  compared to the best Indian Batsman Mr Gavaskar himself.He has never looked back, ever since.He has gone from strength to strength. Tendulkar's performance through the years 1994–1999 coincided with his physical peak as a sportsperson.

Symbolizing India

Tendulkar had become a House hold Phenomena by the start of1996.He was like a  ticket to someplace away from all the discontent in the houses of Indian Streets.India was emerging out of underdevelopment and there was a lot of discontent  among people about the government,corruption,new business competition,power cuts,job cuts,population crises,inflation, rising vegetable prices and almost about everything. India was finding it tough to create its stand on the world map ever since the Deregulation in 1992.Everyone considered Indian Team in the same situation on the cricket field,and found hope in this one man.Everyone remembers the famous Semifinal against Srilanka(World Cup 1996),where no one except one man stood tall against the Sri lankan attack.Sachin battled it out and fought hard to keep India in the game,which he eventually could not and hopes of crores of Indian's were shattered.But, everyone found themselves associating with his situation as it was a real low for  this fanatically crazy cricket country.   

Badshah of Sharjah

We as Indians had lost the faith in our team and our then Captain Mohd. Azharudin.To add to that, when our wounds were healing (from our loss at world cup) came the BIG Battle with (Maybe even bigger than the World Cup) our arch rivals Pakistan.The host was Sharjah and in front of a packed stadium ,Tendulkar and Navjot Singh Siddhu reclaimed India's pride by posting a total of 310 vs a fierce Pakistani Bowling Attack. Tendulkar once again came to heed of his people by scoring a century.

Sharjah has always been special for Tendulkar.India was always considered pushovers by the Australian's at that venue. Untill, Tendulkar happened to Shane Warne.Sachin went on to dominate two of the most important matchs of the tournament by scoring consecutive hundred's and giving the worlds best spinner nightmares by hitting him down the ground for sixes and fours on a very turning wicket.Once again, his bat spoke to the claims of many.

God Status

hush! hush! rumors of Indo-Pak tensed relations started making the news and tension was building in the country over constant efforts to avoid going to war.Cricket happened to be at a Crucial juncture at that time.India was hosting the Asain Test Championship and were playing Pakistan at Eden Gardens. Sachin was given runout,as crowd saw it.It was because of a possible collision between Shoiab Akhtar and Sachin Tendulkar.They retaliated and did so  hard that the match had to be stopped and only after a Special Appeal made by the man himself,did the match continue.Most of the people left,unhappy with the proceedings of the test match and it finished with only about 200 spectators.Just goes to show,how the undoings to Tendulkar were taken personally.

INDIA and the WORLD (CUP)

Its more than his runs that makes him great and that was showed by him,when his father died in the middle of the world cup of 1999.Sachin was badly needed by the country and everyone was counting on him. Sachin Tendulkar came back from his dad's funeral to score a century against Kenya and then stayed till the end of the world cup.Just goes to show the extent of showmanship this man contains.

"My father always told me,never let your country down .He will always be with me"

World Cup came again,better prepared were team India under the leadership of Sourav Ganguly.One man who was over prepared was Sachin Tendulkar.Even though,India did not feature well in the finals and Tendulkar was out for very less runs.Sachin Tendulkar marked the dominance of India over the tournament by scoring 673 runs in 11innings and was awarded the man of the tournament.This tournament symbolized the comeback of India on the world map,where India was seeing a rise of booming economy and now India's voice was being heard on the global platform with newer political ties with China,USA,Iran and the SAARC summit success. 

The Fall of the Hero

By now,Tendulkar was booming and banging bowlers all over the globe.He was suspected of holding the record for the most no of individual records by any Cricketer in the world.But,then came the slumage like any other hindi feature film.All good things come to and end, so had his dream run.The Hero was just beaten up by injuries and bad form.Tennis elbow pushed him out of the sport for over an year.The newspaper's once after his one interview,now termed Sachin as "Endulkar" stating he had lost his charm and was also adviced to retire from this sport by Ian Chappel after his poor form during the 2007 world cup, which was also speculated his last.Even during his rough times,Sachin did not shy away from showing his brilliance by scoring his 35th Hundred against Srilanka in 2005.Also,his comeback 141* against West Indies shut up his critics again for sometime in 2006.

'Guts'  'Glory' n' 'Greatness' 

Post 2006, came the series of nervous nineties,if you look at his record of centuries during 2007 you would be disappointed,but if you check his 90+ scores closely you would see how this man silenced not only his critics but all his sledgers once and for all by scoring seven 90+ scores,with 3 of them as 99's.No one has ever even tried to sledge this master ever since. Its been difficult to choose his best since then, his form in the CB series vs Australia or his double hundred vs South Africa  or his great knocks during the world cup of 2011,he came out better and better after every knock.Sachin has reformed,transformed still maintaining the hope of 1.2 billion and  has delivered at an astounding percentage.

India has also become more sensitive to this server of the country.Sachin Tendulkar has performed a lot for us.He has taken us places where we have never imagined.He has been through controversial times,through struggle,through ups and downs,through awards and records,Still if you ask him what keeps him going even after 20 years in the sport.He replies with a smile" I love the sport,I enjoy playing"

The Champion

Sachin Tendulkar is an image of India,its people.He is more than just a sportsperson.We hate him at times,we want more from him at times,we wish more for him at times....because we love this IDOL of ours.He might have done everything,achieved almost everything but even now when ever We as Indians start to realize that he is just another mortal who is ageing and makes mistakes and will wear out eventually.... He comes up to prove us wrong.

An Ode to the Little Master!!

The india - n

1947-2011.This is amount of time taken by India to be where it is today.
India was just a thought in 1857,yet it stands today  as  largest independent democratic country in the world not to forget,with a population of 1.2 billion.Census says we touch 1.4 billion by 2025 and will cross China by 2045.When born,All that it was ,was the ideas of the leaders of the country and it has taken them years to make it what it has become today.

Struggle,ambition,vision,war,riots,grief and land are some of the key words that can be used to describe the rise of this nation.The Post Gandhi Period was one of the most important periods,also the most crucial in determining the fate of this country.

There has been one common pattern in the making of this nation,and that is the sacrifice of individuals and living on of their ideologies.Someone paved their life for passing the most important law of the constitution the Hindu Act and so did someone for forcing the government of Mr Jawaharlal Nehru to divide States on the basis of Languages.These persons are swallowed up by our history books,and never heard of in purview of the stand that they took against the Ruling party of the country because they forced the government  to bend to abide by their stand.

Nothing changes as we go further,people rule this country and time and again we are shown that by our history books.The time has stood  witness to patronage the sacrifices of the great and not so great Indians,time and again.Be it the 5 year plans of the government,where Industrialization sought the most importance or the plan where Education , Science & Technology and Employment  were stressed the most on.Maybe it was the man who got us the Green Revolution, or  the one who got us through the 1991 crises.
All these were people.People least politically driven,but driven to change something.
Some  of these change makers are the ones we have always read about .Some, we can only feel now .Some, who are still fighting and maybe someday will be remembered for their thought.


And as I read through this book called "INDIA AFTER GANDHI",I realize that Time will always test the people.Standing up for your opinion is what the people need to do for change,irrespective of what the outcome is.The people always have a choice either to live how they are asked to, or to realize their demand and take responsibility of their actions.

The lokpal battle was another  platform where resistance was shown against the government.Not saying if it's correct or wrong,but it is the right to project/publicize and propagate their view.Winning or acceptance is not the fruit of this fight.The Attitude of questioning the stance of the answerable was an achievement in its own.Driving a movement ,just driven by cause is in itself was an achievement of choice that we as Indian's have to make today.

We as people of the Republic of India have and will always come through,There will always be a time in the history when we need to raise our voices to balance out the powerful and the potential.That we will always do...That we will always try to do because

"The real is strength is not in winning a battle,but fighting a lost one".

And we have always had that strength.

Sukrit Narula

“Bachna hai Hassino,lo main aa gaya” – This jaat from Rohtak has transformed into the most happening dudes on campus within no time. His needs really are very limited and contended to only toaster, heater, ice box and not to mention his Room Cooler. His sense of humor & his ability to text (at the speed of light) along with his 1000 body creams help him get girls like nothing else. This loving, caring, awesome bro will be remembered for (not only his endless food stock) his love for the Gultland, bollywood,Delhi daredevils(one of the very few left),PJ’s,Chemistry,Fb stocking & not to forget GIRLS.

Sachin Bharadwaj(Birdie)

If you see a 18 something walking with red mickey mouse sweatshirt, and a yellow cap, briskly walking towards you, thats him.Youngest of the lot and probably the sharpest, this quizzard has done it all that is worth doing.(except sex, so far).Known for is overwhelming ‘FAACK’ response to extraordinary things,ever so restless this Scottish bihari is fickle minded on everything.’eee?bio?cat?ias?’ and the famous ‘J?K?D?L?Oh!’,finally settling on one ‘R’ for the time. Besides all, he is a true buddy.

Sid J <whats the POA Man!!>

‘Aie Masakali’ by Siddharth Jain puts even Rebecca Black to shame.His chartbuster although is ‘I kissed a Guy’ by SidJ feat'The Appendix Guy'.Jain is best when it comes to chool.Or as his soulmate calls it‘Tafri’.This forgetful,carefree,business minded guy is gifted with handling finance,money,cellphones and everything pricey.except girls.Not so lucky in love and decision making,he is caught up with men and gays around him while it could have been Blondes.He is a friend we are proud to have.  

Gaddam Shailen(Abey Chakke!!!)

This HPS alumnus clings on to his schools fading fame like a talisman. His stories about Emmanuel are still a source of comedy as are his macho repartees and excellent comebacks(read sarcasm). He is a great friend except for the monthly emotional tantrums which can be put down to hormones. His responses range from threatening to call the warden over being heckled in a game of counter-strike to tearing apart a picture with his two best friends. He is nothing less than a Tollywood drama queen and has recently found his Bollywood hero in Sukrit Narula.

Prashant Sharma(Phugga)

Prashant Gupta also popularly known as Phugga, is mostly seen wondering in random bhawans and living off the food of random people. His dandruff –ful hair, his chest hair and his new French beard makes him a perfect repellent for anybody. His hold over the Math courses and his wonderful photography skill make this lad, an multi-talented being. He will always be remembered as a very helpful, caring and resourceful person.

"You always want to finish it , But you never want it to end"

Thats exactly how I felt on 31st March 2011.

Apogee 2011 has ended and has impacted the lives of 9 individuals here at BITS Pilani more than anyone else. 9 random people who  hardly knew each other ,worked very closely to make Apogee 2011 happen.

This body of people got assisted by two <GG's> the people who had experience working for Oasis 2010..In SHORT ,<HINT : also describes a characteristic feature of most of these people> Costaa Body came into being in April 2010.

We had our timings and we were hugely popular for keeping very ...<long enuf to forget what we had started with> very long meetings.Everything from the performance to the timing and duration of each event was discussed in detail.So much detail, that sometimes we even lost the bigger picture,but were always made to realize it now and then.

April mostly went away in knowing each other,some knew each other before.But as time passed everyone set themselves in a particular role of the Costaa body.Then there was the idea of a google group,where discussions,small jokes and general ideas were floated.It was a experience and we actually learnt a lot about everyone.Right from how bad was it a PS in the south? To a PS where, net availability was a only a weekend option to a PS where some real work was going on<not for most of us,who roted in their PS .Group mails were something we looked forward too>.

Work began slowly and targets were made for the Body to achieve.After the summer break When We were now back on campus, things looked up more.Meetings became more frequent and tiring and long.Issues came up,Website, Outreach ,Projects & Participation.Problems were just piling up,when a group of people always associated with Apogee, said they wanted a separate festival.This was the time when, we all got a glimpse of what lied ahead and our enthu took a little bit of hammering.

We still had time, as we were under the Shadow of Oasis 2010, and with all eyes on that we could quietly move out of our problems and look to get back things on track.Permutation & Combinations were tried to reduce costs and prepare the Inaug.With No theme,second thoughts on the dates and dilemma over getting the performer,things became slow and the wait for the good time; BEGAN!!.

Came October and the college was high on the ride of Oasis 2010,with Vishal Shekar and most ever participation by DU girls.The festival season was welcomed with huge anticipation by BITS Pilani, except for the7 of us < we were still feeling a little slack and  knew that  stagnation had creped in>.

---Oasis 2010 happened---- and we were now in business for good.

Acads for most of us, had taken a backseat and the work with the departments started.
SO,the story of CoStAAn ,Sponsorship & Marketing began 26th October 2010.Work was well received by everyone this Oasis under the previous leader and a new genre of people were to be leaded.

We worked on the brochure,CD and even made a trip to Delhi before the Semester Ended.The Beginner 's luck, struck us as we got something through, in the 1st week of December and money so early was rarely a thing we were used to.Change was good , but what was coming was still unanticipated.

On the Front of the CostAA things were looking up finally, with the Website ready and launched and the the Boat of Apogee 2011 was underway led by two captains.Time's essence became of utmost importance and As always my Acads got screwed for completely different reasons this around also.:P:P < I always find some reason to qoute, that this time Its not because of me>.

We so desperately wanted to raise the level of the festival and everyone pulled up the socks and pushed their juniors to work 10 times more.Then ,their was good news .Mr Dinesh Keskar (CEO,BOEING INDIA) was our 1st guest confirmed and one of our members was on 7th Heaven.<Again a 1st,nobody confirmed a lecture so early in their department's history>.Inspired,all of us were and things looked more streamlined,but unanticipated problems were only round the corner..

-----January---

I got a real hiccup during the winter break, as expected work was not done.So, I put my  shoe over the department.Suddenly,everyone was working and were tensed (Maybe even hated me) .My work had filled to take all of my time.Everything else took a backseat,<literally> and seamed like more I tried, more difficult it got.

I was talked to, I was asked to take a little lite.Things were getting out of hand,patience was being tested.I was supposed to get the money for the festival and I was till now unable to deliver.Anger & Frustation were just about to peak, when it happened .A real positive that made me calm my nerves.

Everyone around was working for me, with me but I was still not satisfied with the results..I was told by someone "You are losing the bigger Picture".I was made to realize the real reason of a leader.

Thats what this was all about, with Mid-FEB and nothing much in our pocket. The fact was ,We were on our all time low.I had two options, one to carry on with the same old stressed work technique or I could now really stand  up for the people who worked for me.I thought,changed and thought again.

"You don't realize that your work ,your temperament is followed by the people you lead".
So, though it was the toughest time I had been through...I tried to put the least to the people I was working with.

My changed Ideology had started working, money bit-by bit had started to come finally .But very slowly,and people were getting impatient.With everything set and ready, money was now everyone's worry.
I was questioned,over-inquired <Sounds like a damn movie does'nt it>.I asked for a little faith and some time.

My team, understood my grief ,my pressure and were their for me more than ever.
I had heard about this saying " Help will be provided, when needed and asked". I did'nt ask for it, but everyone around was worried about me <Not about the money > .I might have lost it a little sometime <I am human after all>But everyone had the faith in me.

Thats what drives you in the end, Its not the success...its the need to finish your responsibilities.things looked up a little more, but still was impossible to reach where we hoped to reach.Grim faces greeted me.
With just10 days to the festival things looked pretty bad.This was after a couple of them, re-called their commitments at the last moment.

Last sting was still to be played, I felt I was playing "Blind Poker". I did not know, what fate had in store for me.But,  with my trust in the work my team had put in and little bit of prayer that someone was doing for me,I had a  feeling we will at least pull in with kings if not aces.
And in the end, we didn't come out with a ROYAL Flush but managed a respectable Full house.

The festival was done, though things came in a little late and people still managed to take out some mistakes.Considering our journey through this time, we came clear and are pretty satisfied.


Apogee 2011, was success with little unseen and undesirable problems that were dealt with utmost sincerity.
More than anything, Another set of 9 normal human beings were transformed to become/handle anything or I must say everything that life would willing to offer them.

This is the system of BITS Pilani, as I speak another set of 9 people are at work and would have been transformed like us to became better at Anything and everything.

The Birthday - 21 years of love,hate,song,dance,work,play and acads!!! and i am loving it

Birthdays are very special to people and everyone has a different way of celebrating it. I  just do it like anyone else,I PARTY!!!
My birthdays in Pilani, for the past two years have been really great and I  have have come to learn a few things.The only reason you are special on your birthday is because someone around you feels that he/she is grateful to have you with them.Thats it !! and  I acknowledge that.

Ever since my 1st year, I have had some special memories attached to each of my birthdays.I have been gifted condoms, made to learn strip tease and also made to pole dance.I have been given great cards, with half naked men on it,pretty lady -pen stands and some really cool speakers too.The story continues with some videos and controversial stories attached to each  of the three16th January(s).

Getting hit with boots,shoes and chappals has always been a highlight of my birthdays, but usually I get left out for a little, while my other fellows get the better dose. "It pays off to WEAR an extra pair of jeans".
As for my friends, nobody really shows affection outside, but on this special day nobody forgets to pen down nice things about me(though very very few) and I am actually grateful for that.

I  have always had a habit of keeping counts of  the number of people who wish me on my birthday and as far as I remember distinctly, it has gone up from 17 to31 to 49 to 63, 77 to 101  (that was last year).This year I I thought of not keeping a count, but I am sure they are more than 150.Probably because, more of friends are on facebook, and hence more connectivity.So,even if you really don't know me but were added as a friend on facebook, you would have wished me.

New birthdays come with new resolutions, but the motivation to fulfill them always stays the same, that of a one year old.I have had loads of them written down.Some from my 6th-7th grade were--doing well in exams  and never missing the bus (nerdy).All have been a part of this resolution journey.Life has grown into multiple dimensions, but the theme problem still remains the same. This year again resolutions stand as, doing better in acads and going for half the classes.(still as difficult as ever).I am hoping to see them through to the next time.(like always)

21 years have passed, I have had hundreds of friends who have come,gone and stayed.And though,my birthdays have had different sets of people at different times, I have come to realize the following:

Though, gifts have become of less importance but the excitement to receive one  is still the same.

Though, the anticipation of the song "Happy Birthday" is lesser, but the enthusiasm of celebration is still the same. 

And finally , though everyone is here for the cake, the smile on their face is still for the same reason.(Its me) 

Thats why I love birthdays ..cause I am a reason for their smiles.

The orbit theory

I often feel that the best place to start writing is at home .

This starts the explanation of a lot of things.So many times  in life  we feel, maybe I should not have told him this or maybe is that person actually the way I think he should be? and so on ...

Well, there is a possibility of error between when we judge people and how we speculate them to be  with us. We simply start with the basic fact - as the name suggests 'the orbit theory',  talks about the analogy between the real orbits of the solar system , where orbit of each planet is like a  relationship and as we go on we simply recreate their relation with the sun  in reference to other people's with ours ,It also helps us classify our relationship status with others.

Just like the Sun, we also are supposed to have a CORE NUCLEUS Body .this nucleus body basically consists of people all around you , the closest to you today as of this moment and will be for maximum period of time of your life. As it is the core NUCLEUS , it has very high energy just like the Sun. There are heated arguments, there is a lot of interaction and also too many secrets to be shared.

As a science student , we are told that the movement of the sun is very small. ( All the others as know it as a stationary object).But  it is not my friend and in a very lay science man language, I would like to put it .A planet and Sun revolve around each other's centre of mass, but as the mass of the sun is very high therefore, the centre of mass of the 2 big objects lies almost (as u can say)  inside the sun ..so it seems the planets move around it.

Anyway , coming back to the point SUN DOES NOT MOVE and so creating a parody, The people who we place in the core of our life should be or rather are the ones who do not change much with time or whose relationship with you is certain enough to change, gradual change is inevitable. But with respect to the larger picture like the sun, in the small course of time it can be considered  constant.

This helps in deciding who should be more important to you, than who "makes life easier".The orbit theory does not end here, its a start of a very complex formulation of the factors effecting relations between people.

The very supplement starts when we go into the specific orbits of the orbit theory,

Mercury orbit: The first orbit and the most complex one too.Just like the planet with the shortest orbit and fastest speed(not sure thou).It should contain the next set of closest people around you ,the ones  who will evolve finally to fall into the nucleus.

PS note : No of people in the lower orbit should be lesser than in the one above.

So, the rule is simple about putting people in orbits, as an order of their attachment with you and things should work out soon.So, you know who to not go overboard with .Also, till what level of understanding is this relationship of friend,lover,mentor etc.

There are various others situations described on the basis of this orbit theory and its application in terms of understanding your limitations and others too are useful.
